Position Overview:
AirSea packing is looking for a highly dedicated and enthusiastic Tractor Trailer Driver to join the team at our Norcross, GA location! The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of the customer first approach and will know how to safely operate a trailer while remaining in compliance with DOT & Health & Safety Regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate tractor-trailer vehicle safely to assigned destinations while complying with commercial driving regulations
- Ensure safe loading and handling of heavy cargo and material
- Regularly communicate status updates to the dispatcher and management team
- Responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and servicing of the vehicle
- Records and maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations
- Responsible maintaining knowledge of and complying with City, State, and Federal traffic regulations
- Maintains/logs record of materials and products transported
- Obtains customer signature or collects payment for goods delivered and delivery charges if needed
- Other duties assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A required
- Clean MVR required
- Minimum one year of recent commercial driving experience preferred
- Must be flexible; Nights & Weekend Included
- High School Diploma/GED
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb and pull
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor on a regular basis
